Château Bonnet Réserve 2015

Château Bonnet is one of Bordeaux’s consistently reliable wines. Vignobles André Lurton are committed to making wines that are both fullbodied and balanced, like this Reserve cuvee, which typifies classic Bordeaux.  Its faultless pedigree is revealed in its elegant balance, depth and charm.

2015 was the third warmest year since 1900... Drought conditions, above-average monthly temperatures and sunshine (in the first half of the year), cool nights and hot weather in August accompanying véraison (colour change) were all ideal for the vines!

Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Deep, dark, ruby-red colour with purple highlights.

Nose: Rich, complex bouquet of red fruit (morello cherry), wax, and Virginia tobacco.

TASTE: Starts out smooth and straightforward on the palate. Generous, refined, and well-balanced with beautiful structure, as well as wonderful concentration and delicious flavours of ripe red and black fruit. The tannin is particularly soft. The aftertaste features hints of sweet spice (cinnamon). The wine shows great vivaciousness and freshness that make it very appetising.

Food pairing

In order to make the most of its qualities, you might wish to enjoy it with beef, lamb, or quiche.
