We are currently looking to take on an Administration assistant/ Sales advisor.

The candidate must be over 18 years old.

About the position:
An exciting opportunity exists for someone with Business Administration experience by joining our thriving independent wine merchant.

Administration duties:
- Book-keeping assistance
- Customer invoicing
- Updating our website
- Processing sales
Sales duties:
- Serving customers in the shop
- Providing wine advice (training given)
- Checking and receiving deliveries

An ideal candidate will have a good wine knowledge. If this is not the case, the successful applicant will be trained through the Wine & Spirit Education Trust so they can be more familiar and confident about what we sell. This training is free of charge.
The hours are flexible, and could fit in during school hours
(a typical week could include two 4.5-hour midweek shifts during the daytime eg 10am to 2.30pm). The hourly rate is in the region of £7.85 to £8.85 per hour depending on experience. Over-time will sometimes be available to cover holidays or events.
The candidate will gain transferable experience in administration, make useful connections in the wine industry, as well as gaining a good understanding about running a small business.

Established in 2010, it has grown from a high street shop catering for the local walk-in trade, to an award winning, established regional business with wholesale and online customers.
