Langham Culver Classic Cuvee, Was £29.99, Now £28.99!
Our friends at Langham have really dug down into the detail of their vineyards to create a couple of fascinating new cuvées. This is the Culver and it promotes the Pinots (66% Noir & 24% Meunier) and as a result you get a fuller red fruit aspect. Wild flowers, hawthorn, cherry and wild strawberry, but still with a bright ripe citrus acidity. It fills the mouth with flavour but never overwhelms, it would be a great match for lobster, trout and scallops. 10% Chardonnay makes up the blend, mostly from the 2017 vintage.

Perraud Nancelles Macon-Villages, WAS £21.99, NOW £19.99!
The grapes were machine harvested in the cool of early morning. This ensures a quick turnaround so that the precious melon and citrus character is kept intact, without danger of oxidation.
Winemaking was kept as natural as possible, with wild yeasts used for fermentation. Malolactic fermentation was allowed to take place in order to encourage a round, supple feel.
The wine rested for six months on its lees to encourage complexity before blending and then bottling. Part of the wine was aged in oak barrels for nearly nine months to encourage a weightier style than the average Mâcon.
La Collection by Maison Boutinot, Côtes de Thau Blanc , Was £10.99, Now £8.99!
Sourced from the Bassin de Thau, Picpoul country. It is predominantly Vermentino (60%) which gives the wine its core qualities of citrus levity. Terret (30%) gives the blend complexity and length. 5% each of Grenache Blanc and Viognier fills in the holes to make a completely satisfying dry white wine with some salinity.
Aroma of white flowers, lime blossom and candied lemon. On the palate, the wine is textured with some exotic fruit such as kumquat and peach. Drink with anything from the Mediterranean - clams, squid, oysters.
Chateau La Bienveillance Blanc, Was £14.99, Now £12.99!
In the mid-20th century, Semillon was the most planted grape in Bordeaux, but it's been in constant decline.
Whilst the vast proportion of land is now dedicated to red grapes, the white wines are some of the most underrated and often represent good value for money. Fleshy and round, this shows an attractive citrus character, accented by white blossom and yellow plum.
Pale yellow with greenish reflections, this Albariño is intense in the nose, with peach and citrus notes. There’s a freshness and minerality mid-palate that is superb, with remarkable acidity and a round, crisp finish.
Excellent pairings for this wine are cod with cockles, citrus prawn salad, or traditional grilled seafood with warm mango salad and beans. It is delightfully well suited to Asian food, Peruvian ceviche, or a fresh tuna salad.
This vintage allows the Sauvignon
Blanc to really express itself. On the nose are pronounced aromas of
grapefruit, tropical fruit and mint with notes of boxwood. The Semillon
adds texture and richness to the palate and the finish is refreshing and
health-conscious and/or weight-watching drinkers, it doesn’t get much
sunnier than this clean- tasting zero-sugar white at 9% ABV and 85
calories per 5-ounce serving. Sustainably farmed on a family-owned
Monterey County estate, it shows off aromas of lime and white flowers,
and the palate is light, with grassy notes naturally sweetened by
flavors of pineapple and honeyed pear. A tart grapefruit finish sets the
palate up for that next sip.
