The Estate
In 1999, José Miguel Arambarri, from La Rioja, decided to rebuild his ancestors' business and to plant his first vineyard. Before long there would be many more vineyards, wines and wineries with the incorporation of his sons, José Miguel and Ricardo, with a clear goal: to innovate the wine market. Today Vintae is a wine company with more than 50 employees that continues to grow year after year and so far produces wines in 15 Denominations of Origin. These are some of the key moments of this exciting journey towards revolution in the world of wine.
Winemaking
Selection of 20 to 25 years old vineyards, located in Rueda and La Seca, on the rocky soil at 700 to 800 metres above sea level. The Continental climate, with large temperature differences between day and night, produce great balanced wines. Grapes are manually harvested during the night. Winemaking uses Cryomaceration to encourage colour and primary aromas extraction. Softly pressed with pneumatic press. Fermentation with natural grape yeasts at low temperature and aged on fine lees for 4 months.
Tasting Note and Food Pairing
Intense, mature and with good volume Colour: Straw yellow with green edges. Nose: Intense aroma of white fruits, citrus and cut grass with a light touch of balsamic and mineral notes. Palate: Great character, density and structure, with a good acidity level and great persistence.
