Chateau Fontareche is a historic chateau located in the Corbieres hills in Southern France. This wine comes from the oldest vines 'vieille vignes' and is a great value, juicy and fruity blend of traditional grape varieties.
Tasting Notes
Deep cherry-purple colour, fruity aromas of red cherry, herbs and spices. On the palate the wine is warming and spicy with soft juicy fruit and a smooth finish
Regional Information The Corbieres is a large wine producing region in South West France. It enjoys a warm mediteranean climate to fully ripen a wide variety of grapes
Vinification Details
The grapes are destemmed and then placed in concrete tanks for fermentation which lasts 3-5 weeks at 25 degrees rising to 30 degrees towards the end of the vinification.
