Domaine Belleville Rully Blanc 1er Cru Rabource
Domaine Belleville Rully Blanc 1er Cru Rabource
Bottle notes
Domaine Belleville was established in Rully at the beginning of the 20th century in the heart of wine-making Burgundy. With 22 hectares of vineyards spread out from north to south Burgundy, its wines express a diverse range of characteristics from both the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varietals. Domaine Belleville was purchased in 2017 by an American couple and group of international friends and partners who have since also acquired the Champagne house Leclerc Briant and Manoir Murisaltien in Meursault.
“Rabourcé” means “inside out” or “backwards” and comes from “Rebursum” that can be translated as “overturned”. Indeed, the “Rabourcé” Climat is the highest and hottest Climat in Rully and is planted in a backward manner to its 2 neighbours, the “Raclot” and “Les Cloux” Climats. Fully south-facing stony clay-limestone terroir Care: Early harvest for optimal maturity and shorter pruning to encourage vigour. Vine age 40 years. 16 months in oak, 25% of which is new.
