A classic Loire Sauvignon from the Cher region, to the west of Sancerre.
Most people know Loire Sauvignon Blanc’s because of Sancerre but the grape is grown in much of the region. In Touraine the wines are a bit softer with more fruit and a mineral rather than grassy finish.
Ours, from Domaine de la Chaise, is a delicious example and great choice when you want a Sauvignon Blanc that is softer and has more fruit than a Sancerre but is still distinctly French.
The price is as attractive as the wine.
Tasting notes
Crisp and aromatic with lovely citrus fruit flavours.
An ideal wine to enjoy on its own. Also great with seafood, fish, chicken and the goats' cheeses of the region.
