Haywire Secrest Mountain Chardonnay is a dry white wine from Okanagan Valley, Canada. It is 100% Chardonnay with 13.5% abv. Suitable for Vegans. Organic.

This Chardonnay from Okanagan Crush Pad is grown some 487m above sea level on south-west facing slopes in the foothill of the Secrest Mountain. The cool 50 acre site has alluvial soils studded with coarse gravel and sandy loam with limestone layers. It's this unique terroir that makes for a Chardonnay with pronounced flavours of grapefruit, lime and quince. The finish is creamy and textured with fresh, light green acidity. The wine was naturally fermented and aged on lees for 10 months before being bottled unfiltered. Vinified by the brilliant winemaker, Matt Dumayne.

Pairs beautifully with: Chicken stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon, pizza topped with anchovies, red tuna steak, pasta in cream sauce with tarragon, or Indian butter chicken.

Cheese pairing:  Appenzeller, or Brie de Meaux.
