Description
2019 is a terrific vintage - modest crops from old vines of two tonnes an acre gave us stunning Shiraz. The colour's a clue - absolutely black giving a hint of intensity and depth to come. Its bouquet's got lots of dark plum, bramble, blackcurrant and black cherry fruit with savoury undertones of pepper, spice and black olive. Absolutely mouth-filling on the palate, it's packed with lavish dark fruit and spice and ripe tannins. This is Rank & File on top form and, for some reason, "char-grilled" keeps popping into my head. Delicious!
Food Pairing
Everything and anything that is richly flavoured; roasts, game, barbecues, hearty casseroles and charcuterie amongst others. Pepper crusted kangaroo steak served with anchovy butter.
