Bottle Notes

Stand & Deliver is a single vineyard Shiraz from one of the highest vineyards in the Clare Valley at 510 metres above Sevenhill. The vineyard always produces an intensely flavoured wine with a very distinctive character from vines 25 – 30 years old. The grapes are picked solely on flavour and were crushed and destemmed to several open fermenters and fermented with wild yeast. After 21 months in French oak the best barrels were selected and blended prior to bottling. No fining, no filtration.

All this produces a monster of a wine. if you like your Shiraz big, bold, juicy and rich this ticks all those boxes. It's deep and ark and complex too with some cinnamon charatcters among the dark fruit. The oak is perfectly in balance with the fruit and the tannins just right. most importantly, it's delicious. This is one to cellar - if you can.

Bring this out for a special occasion and enjoy with a special dish. Beef wellington fits the bill. It suits a rich duck dish too.
