Julienas-Chaintre Macon Chaintre
Crisp, clean and fresh, this is a delicate, fruity Chardonnay from the Maconnais that delivers delicious white fruit and citrus flavours backed up by refreshing mineral undertones.
In 2013 the Co-operative of Julienas and Macon-Chaintré united to form one company providing winemaking facilities for 169 winegrowers from across Southern Burgundy and Beaujolais. The Cave selects the best grapes from its members and uses modern winemaking facilities to produce this range of wines that will give great pleasure immediately upon release at a price that won't break the bank.
Pale yellow in colour. The bouquet is fresh and fragrant with white fleshed fruit such as pear, quince and green apple. Delicate and fruity on the palate, with no discernible oak, clean lemon citrus flavours that lead back around to crisp green apple. A little stony minerality on the finish.
