Koudiat By Lavau Cotes Du Rhone Rouge
Bottle notes
A bright and juicy Côtes du Rhône with its roots in North Africa.
Koudiat by Lavau Cotes du Rhone Rouge is made from completely destemmed grapes which are fermented at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks for 20 days. Further ageing also takes places in steel. Patriarch of the Lavau family, René Lavau transformed a small estate in Tunisia into the country's biggest wine producer in the early 20th Century, and this wine is named in honour of those times and those wines, with "Koudiat"meaning hill in Arabic.
Juicy, fresh strawberries and ripe blackberries on the nose with red berries, spice and slight savouriness on the palate. Full bodied and luscious but with beguiling freshness.
