Lionel Osmin & Cie Mon Adour AOP Madiran
Lionel Osmin & Cie Mon Adour AOP Madiran
Bottle notes
Under Lionel's impetus, "Lionel Osmin et Cie" was born to champion the discovery of the unique grape varieties and terroirs of this region.
From Jurançon to Cahors, from Gaillac to Bergerac via Marcillac, Lionel Osmin et Cie becomes the only cross-category brand for the wines of the Southwest, these vineyards whose secrets have not all been revealed...
The result is a range of wines with characteristics true to our region, but designed to share the joy of discovering the grape varieties and appellations we love so much.
Viticulture
Climate: hot microclimate with mostly oceanic influences, where the Adour River prevents from excessive rainfall. − Terroir: 20 to 50 years old vines on clay and gravel soils with big river stones.
Vinification
Harvest at the end of September. Fermentation and maceration during 28 days in concrete tanks. 18 months ageing, 2/3 in tanks and 1/3 in oak barrels that contained one or more wines.
Tasting Notes
A profound dark colour. On the nose we find blackcurrant, blackberry and raspberry aromas alongside fine spicy notes. Generous on the palate, complex and aromatic. Silky tannins and a nice finish making this wine the perfect modern Madiran wine.
Food Pairing
Duck, red meat, roasted veal, roasted pork, cow cheese.
