Montecalvo Aglianico is an intense and flavourful wine with dark fruit aromas and savoury notes. On the palate, you'll taste juicy bramble and plum flavours, complemented by ripe tannins and fresh acidity. This wine pairs perfectly with barbecued beef and rich tomato pasta dishes.
About the Producer
Montecalvo is a large cooperative of around 1,000 members, founded in 1960. Its 1,800 hectares of vineyards are cultivated mainly with Falanghina, but also Aglianico, Greco and Fiano, on soils ranging from alluvial to volcanic - 30km to the north of the city of Benevento.

The 100% Aglianico grapes are cultivated in the chalky clay soils of the Benevento hills.
