PASCUAL LARRIETA RIOJA CRIANZA
BOTTTLE NOTES
Cherry red color, medium-high layer and maroon nuances, clean and shiny. Good intensity and complexity on the nose. Mature red fruit, wood and toasted aromas. Pleasant and well balanced. The aromas found on the nose are again present in the retro-olfactory sensations.
The winery is located in Samaniego, which sits at the foot of the Sierra de Cantabria Mountains in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. Most of the inhabitants of this village are engaged in winemaking. The winery’s 15 ha of vineyards, with an average age of 50, benefit from the marl soil present in this area, which is ideal for winegrowing.
Bodegas Pascual Larrieta has remained faithful to the region’s traditional processing methods while applying technologies such as the pneumatic winepress and stainless steel tanks to its processes.
The winery uses casks made with 60% French wood and 40% American, which look after our wines until they wake from their long slumber.
