Leading winery in the Dão region founded in 1990. Excellent value for money & known as a brand related to high quality wines in Portugal. They are from the iconic region of Dão in northern Portugal which is known for its magnificent mountains (Estrela, Caramulo & Bussaco) & the unique microclimate that is in symbiosis with its indigenous grape varieties. Cabriz excel in this beautiful area in making wines of unique character, fantastic value & excellent gastronomic potential.

This is an example that really shows the potential of Portugal for Sparkling wines. Cabriz uses the Traditional champagne method, but there's a twist! This sparkling has 3 Portuguese fabulous varietals, no pinot, no Chardonnay, just pure indigenous liquid fun!

Traditional method of production & fermentation at 16°C, retaining freshness mixed with a buscuity overtone. With at least 18 months in wine cellar & 3 months in bottle after disgorgement.           

Tasting Notes

Crystalline with persistent fine bubbles, white fleshed fruits, citrus burst, biscuit & warm toasted cereals. Fruity, fresh, yet harmoniously balanced, with a crunchy finish & a captivating mousse that will always get the party started… or keep it going!

Food pairing

Pairs with a selection of canapes, pork belly & other very fatty meats. Caviar, sushi & fish & chips.
