Bodegas Senorio de Arana Rioja Vina del Oja Crianza

Bottle notes

The Bodega Señorío de Arana was founded in the late 1970s by the De Santiago family responding to a long family tradition in the world of viticulture transmitted by generations. The winery was founded with the intention of producing high quality wines and the vocation to achieve excellence in its production.

Framed in an unbeatable environment for wine production, the winery is in the Rioja Alavesa surrounded by our vineyards of varieties such as Garnacha, Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo. The care of our vineyards has been a maximum since the foundation of the winery to offer the highest quality broths that these lands can offer us.

The winery has modern facilities dedicated to wine production that facilitate the process, but in Bodegas Señorío de Arana we think that the human factor is fundamental in the elaboration of our wines, from the harvesters to the winemaker.

The production of our wines is carried out by a strict traceability system, the grapes of each plot are followed and controlled throughout the production process, then passing through a previous selection of the production process before its processing process in stainless steel tank with controlled fermentation.

Once the alcoholic and malolactic fermentation is completed, the best items go through an aging process in oak barrels lasting between 15 and 30 months depending on the destination of each of the wines. The winery has a total storage capacity of 2 million litres with a total of 1500 barrels of American and French oak, as well as a boot of up to 200,000 bottles.

The quality of our products has allowed us an expansion that began in the 1990s. For the marketing of our wines we have two well-differentiated brands, VIA DEL OJA in the entire range of wines, from the Young in their varieties of Tinto, Blanco and Pink such as the wines of Crianza, Reserva y Gran Reserva, and SOMMELIER, a high-example wine in Crianza y Reserva.

Development

Fermentation takes place in vats, macerating for 15 days at 28oC. After this, the wines naturally decan from several transgoes.

They then move on to the American oak barrels, where they begin their aging for 15 months.

Grapes: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Mazuelo. 15 months in Barrel

Tasting

It came from a very bright ruby layer. On the nose do notes of ripe fruit along with others typical of your stay in oak (fresh, roasted Vanilla).

In the mouth it stands firm, to end with an enveloping sensation of soft tannins in the aftertaste.
