FONTEVECCHIA, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico Superiore

"Fontevecchia" is one of the most well-known wines produced by the Casalfarneto winery which is born in its own vineyards located on a medium-textured soil, tending to loose, facing south-east. The wine is obtained with the white winemaking technique with soft pressing of the bunches and fermentation at controlled temperature. 

The refinement involves six months in steel tanks and at least four months in the bottle. Wine of great territorial expression, Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore DOC "Fontevecchia" 2016, is an elegant and highly pleasant white wine.

TASTING NOTES

With a bright straw appearance, with greenish reflections. During the smell phase it offers pleasant fruity and floral aromas: wisteria, jasmine, apple, an exotic touch of papaya, cedar, almond blossom and lemon balm. In the mouth it has material and good warmth, but above all the decisive freshness and a remarkable sapidity stands out.

HARVEST

It is the traditional harvest, taking place in the months of September and October, allowing a harvesting with the right balance of sugars and acids in the wine produced.

PAIRING

Fresh as an aperitif, it goes very well with hot and cold appetizers, delicate first courses and white meats.
